The railway line between Dover and Folkestone closed on Saturday 30th April for an estimated four months while TEN MILLION POUNDS is spent on tunnel and track repairs. This line has a half hourly service on weekdays and hourly on Sundays. It runs beneath towering cliffs. Is the expenditure worth it? In the meantime the traffic is handled quite adequately by a shuttle service of buses. Interesting!
(Source of the amount spent on the repairs was the BBC)
